The Elections Department mailed out over 352,000 voter registration cards to registered voters in Hidalgo County. The new cards are to be used in all upcoming elections through December 31, 2021.

"Reviewing this information now will prevent any delays at the polling location when going to vote," said Ramon.

Residents who do not receive a card in the mail by Monday, Dec.16, are urged to contact the Elections Department at (956) 318-2570.  All changes must be made by Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, in order to vote in March 2020 primary.

"The last day to register to vote is February 3, 2020 and the last day to apply for a ballot by mail is February 21, 2020," stated Ramon.
