At its monthly meeting held this afternoon at the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, the Hidalgo County Drainage Advisory Committee discussed the many projects currently underway throughout the County. The committee along with appointed representatives want to ensure the continued involvement and input of the public throughout the planning stages. It is the intent of the Board that the committee serves as a link between the stakeholders and constituents of Hidalgo County and the Board related to the possible development, planning, financing and implementation of the Drainage District’s Capital Improvement Plan. Public involvement is a key link in the plan and town hall meetings will be scheduled in the future to explain the plan to communities and colonias throughout Hidalgo County.
