At its regular meeting of Commissioners’ Court held Tuesday, members approved a resolution in honor of Noe Garza, the former Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Edinburg, who passed away on January 9, 2012. Garza’s family was on hand to accept the resolution, which recognized Garza as a distinguished public servant. Garza served as City Councilman and Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Edinburg. He is noted for the many contributions he provided to the community of Edinburg, including assistance in the development of: Edinburg City Hall, Edinburg Water Plant, and the Edinburg Fire Station, among many others. Judge Ramon Garcia and Commissioners Joseph Palacios, Joel Quintanilla, and Tito Palacios shared their grievances with the family and remembered Garza for his devotion to the City of Edinburg and the public.
