Joe P. Kenney III is currently serving as an Assistant District Attorney for the Cape and Island, prosecuting a wide range of cases, including drug offenses, violent crimes and drunk driving. He is the grandson of Robert F. Kennedy and the son of former Congressman Joseph P. Kennedy II
Joe's extensive work and service has required him to travel, work, and live in 25 countries, including some of the poorest in the world.
Before joining the Peace Corps, Joe Kenndy III worked for the world-renowned development expert Jeffrey Sachs as a research analyst at the United Nations' Millenium Goals, the U.N.'s major anti-poverty initiative. He also worked as an anti-poverty adviser to Nobel-winning President Jose Ramos-Horta of East Timor and served in Ghana as an analyst of the county's new National Health Insurance Act. While in the Peace Corps he volunteer in the Dominican Republic, where he led efforts to create a sustainable model of ecotourism
