[ARCHIVED] Early Voting Begins Feb. 16!

Early Voting runs through Friday, February 26, 2010. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., except on Sunday (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). There are 25 early voting locations this year, as well as a mobile unit.

The benefits to voting early are that you do not have to vote in the precinct where you live and that lines tend to be shorter. For example, if you live in Weslaco but work in Edinburg, you could vote during the early voting period in Edinburg. If you wait until Primary Election Day (March 2), you must vote in the precinct where you are registered. Early voting is convenient, so take advantage of all the locations, including our Primary 2010 Mobile Unit! (link the attachments)

Don’t forget, Primary Election Day is March 2! For more information, call the Hidalgo County Elections Department at 956-784-VOTE.

Please see the attachments for a complete Early Voting schedule and locations.
