WAITZ ELEMENTARY VISITS COMMISSIONERS COURT

Waitz students

“The court has special visitors today,” announced Hidalgo County Judge Ramon Garcia, as more than 80 elementary school students arrived to view "county government in action."

The fourth-graders from Carl C. Waitz Elementary in Mission attended Commissioners Court as part of their government studies.

“I want to thank you for allowing us to experience county government in action," said student Ryan Long. "As fourth graders, Mrs. Guerra has taught us about county government in Social Studies."

In welcoming the students, Judge Garcia described them as future leaders in Hidalgo County.
