Head Start Executive Director Teresa Flores announced the winners of the annual Head Start Nutrition Contest.
The contest is hosted by the Head Start Child Nutrition Department. It brings together center staff, parents, children, volunteers, administrative staff and kitchen staff who all play an important role in making the special event possible.
This year's theme was "Put Your Best Fork Forward." At each center, parents presented their dishes and meals focusing on healthy eating, physical activities, and educating others about how to “Put Your Best Fork Forward.”
The Head Start staff’s eagerness was undoubtedly contagious and well-coordinated for the parents and children. The following centers were crowned winners of the Nutrition Contest.
