Operation Brush Clean-up is underway in Precinct 1. The precinct wide clean up is targeting colonias with the heaviest amount of brush. Commissioner AC Cuellar immediately took action with the help of Hidalgo County Emergency Management to initiate Operation Brush Clean-up.

Since May 4th the precinct has received high call volume for help from residents. Crews are currently responding to nearly 700 work orders. To get the job done Precinct 1 has teamed up with local partners to address this issue.

If you have brush piling up, Precinct 1 encourages you to bring your brush to one of the three collection site in the county. If not, please be patient as they work their way down the list of work orders.

The brush collection stations are located in Monte Alto (Mile 5 1/2 West & Mile 21), Penitas (Military Road west of FM 1427) and Edinburg (Davis and Terry Road). For more information contact Precinct 1 Offices at 956-968-8733.
