Hidalgo County Commissioners Court approved a resolution in honor of Cindy Gutierrez for being named the "2014 Administrative Professional of the Year" for the Boys and Girls Club of Edinburg. The honor was given on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Professional Association Conference in San Francisco, Calif. Gutierrez competed against thousands of administrators from across the United States and was selected “based on her superior leadership skills, project coordination experience, excellent communication skills and outstanding service to the Boys & Girls Club and the community of Edinburg.”

Gutierrez, a four-year employee with the Boys & Girls Club of Edinburg, has been a Ambassador for Edinburg Chamber of Commerce since 2011. She also served as a “Loaned Executive” for United Way of South Texas, and is a graduate of the Edinburg Leadership Class XXII.

Gutierrez has distinguished herself as an essential and valued member of the community and her actions make her a positive role model for her peers, said Precinct 4 Right of Way Jesse Ozuna, who presented the resolution on behalf of Commissioner Joseph Palacios.
“Her remarkable accomplishments point her to an even brighter future, and it is indeed fitting at this time to recognize her for her many contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV and the community of Hidalgo County,” Ozuna said.

Upon receiving the resolution, Gutierrez thanked Commissioners Court for the recognition and for the continuous support of Hidalgo County Precinct 4.
