476th District Court

The 476th Judicial District Court is a court of general jurisdiction. It handles civil and criminal matters including but not limited to:

  • Family - divorce, adoptions, child support, parent-child relationship

  • Property Damage
  • Medical Malpractice
  • Civil
  • Expunctions
  • Criminal - murder, capital murder, manslaughter, theft, aggravated robbery, intoxication, drug cases, assault, aggravated assault, sexual assault of adults and minors

Graduated from Pan American with a BBA in Management/Economics in 1978

Graduated from St. Mary’s Law School with a Juris Doctorate in 1983

Practiced law for 38 years

Municipal Court Judge for the City of Mission, Texas for thirty years

Municipal Court Judge for the City of Palmhurst, Texas for eleven years

Appointed in 2005 by then Gov. Rick Perry to the 92nd Judicial District Court

Member of the State Bar of Texas and the Hidalgo County Bar Association

Former Region 10 Director for the Texas Municipal Courts Association

Former Committee Member for the Texas Commission on Judicial Efficiency

Former Member the American Bar Association

Former Member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association
