Our Communications Division is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our three shifts are comprised of 18 dispatchers with 3 supervisors and 1 Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC). We receive about 415,600 calls annually, non-emergency and emergency calls for service.

The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office Communications Bureau is the vital link between the citizens of Hidalgo County and first responders. They are the voices that keep our deputies calm in exigent circumstances. They receive about 777,500 radio transmissions a year from their deputies/investigators. Our dispatchers are a group of very unique, professional employees dedicated to the division and the citizens of Hidalgo County.
