Precinct 4 offers a full-service sanitation department. From the removal of trash and debris on county roads to coordinating ongoing colonia cleanups, Precinct 4 provides a broad scope of trash removal to keep the environment clean. 

Solid Waste Disposal

 In order to safeguard the public health and ensure waste disposal sites for residents who live in the rural and unicorporated areas of the county, Hidalgo County has approved a Solid Waste Disposal Program.

Requirements:

This program requires a vehicle permit which can be purchased at Precinct 4 Permit Sales Office.

Payment Methods: Cash, Money Order, Credit/Debit Cards

To purchase or renew permit, you must:

* Fill out an application

* Provide proof of Hidalgo County rural residency (current water bill or light bill

* Provide any form of personal identification with corresponding name and address on bill

* Provide the year, make, model, color and license plate number of vehicle obtaining permit for 

Permit Fees:

3 Months   6 Months   9 Months   12 Months

$25              $50              $75              $100   

*once the permit is purchased, resident will receive one (1) permit/sticker. This permit is not transferable and limited to one (1) vehicle.
