Head Start Program
The Hidalgo County Head Start Program is a comprehensive child development institute which serves children three (3) to four (4) years of age and their families.
The Housing Authority of the County of Hidalgo provide low-income families and individuals with housing that is decent, safe, sanitary, and affordable. The Housing Authority of the County of Hidalgo is committed to providing opportunities for families to assist themselves.
The goal of Hidalgo County's Veterans Services Division is to assist residents of the county who served in the U.S. Armed Forces during any war or peace-time enlistment in preparing, submitting, and presenting any claim against the U.S. or any state, for compensation, insurance, pension, education, hospitalization or other benefits to which they may be entitled.

Hidalgo County WIC Program is a nutrition education program which provides supplemental foods and promotes good health for pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and also children up to the age of five.
