Our Mission

The Law Library of Hidalgo County serves the legal research needs of the Hidalgo County community and the general public and help the courts advance fairness and equality in the judicial system. 

The Law Library is funded by a combination of court filing fees and user service fees. The Law Library receives direction and guidance from the Hidalgo County Commissioners and the Law Library Committee.

Even though the federal Covid-19 PHE has ended as of May 11th, 2023, the Hidalgo County Law Library is requiring all patrons to follow state and county safety guidelines.
